Join us for an exclusive LEAP & Anosognosia Training with Dr. Amador on
October 2, 2024 from 2:30–5:30pm at JW Marriott, Anaheim Resort!
This session is designed to teach Professionals (Mental Health, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement), Families, and Community Members how to create trusting relationships with people who have serious mental illness (SMI) and anosognosia – lack of insight resulting in conflict, relapse, homelessness, criminalization, suicide, and treatment refusal.
Learn how to address the obstacles created by anosognosia, and to develop collaborative alliance that lead to mutual respect and engagement of treatment and services — including medication, psychotherapy, psychosocial programs, peer-support, supervised housing, and to partner with people who are trying to help.
